I do love to photograph a wedding at Alrewas Hayes. It’s mix of rustic outdoor charm and the slender of the decoration, coupled with countless photography locations makes this venue one of my favourites and Laura & Lee’s wedding was no exception.

I first met Laura and Lee two years ago when they came in for their first consultation with me,?it was so obvious how much they were in love from the moment they walked through the door. The other thing that struck me was how?important their photography was to them, don’t get me wrong, photography tends to be very important to all of my clients but I just got the impression it was more so with Laura & Lee so I took it as a great honour when they trusted me with capturing their day.

I have photographed many a wedding at Alrewas Hayes and each time the vibe is very different, I don’t know if it is the couples that are attracted to the venue or the place itself but?things are always different here. Laura and Lee’s wedding was no different (as in it was different if you know what I mean!) The whole day felt like one of those lazy summers days that are filled with love, laughter, family and friends, I really enjoyed this wedding.

Laura looked stunning as she arrived at Saint James’ church in Barton-under-Needwood. After an interesting and lovely reading?about a couple of dinosaurs, a few of Laura and Lee’s friends sang whilst the happy couple signed the registers. Very soon they were outside the church being greeted by all of their guests, this is such a fantastic time to document lots of little interactions between the couple and their guests.

As soon as we arrived at Alrewas Hayes we captured some fantastic portraits in and around the grounds before it was time to head inside for the Wedding breakfast and speeches. Later in the evening, just after the first dance, we were treated to the most amazing light and sunset so I whisked Laura & lee outside for a couple of extra portraits and then my work was done.

Laura & Lee, I so much enjoyed your wedding at Alrewas Hayes and not only that, your fabulous company during the day. I am overjoyed that I was able to document the love you have for each other.
