There are many reasons you may want your images on a disk. You have two options to choose from.
Many clients just want to be able to view their images on a PC, Mac or from their DVD player. If you choose to include a DVD slideshow in your package you can play back all of your images on these devices without restriction. There are two slideshows to choose from on each disk. The first is the full gallery of images set to music. Each image fades into the next detailing the whole day from beginning to end so you don’t miss a single moment. The second slideshow is of the images you selected to go into your album. Again set to music but this time each image is featured for a longer time with beautiful pans and fades from one image to the next.
High resolution images
Some clients want to be able to create their memory boxes, prints and other memorabilia. If this is want you want your images for, your best going for the high resolution images. This disk contains all of the colour corrected images from your gallery at full resolution, lowest compression Jpegs. If you opt to receive your disk along with your album, you will also receive the final retouched versions of the photographs used to create your album in a separate folder. While there is a hugh difference in quality and colour accuracy between the prints available from the high street and the professional lab that I use for albums, reprints and canvas prints, I also understand that many customers like to create their own products.
Your images are always safe*
Before you start to worry about your images, I never wilfully delete anyones wedding photographs and I employ a double, offsite backup strategy to ensure the safety of your wedding images. Using a double backup system means that barring catastrophic failure of two systems, I should always have copies of your wedding photos available, whenever you need them.
