I often get asked if I have digital albums available and up until now the answer has always been no. I have looked into them on a few occasions but I have never found any products that I felt comfortable in recommending. I always had reservations with either the quality or longevity of the albums.
However, I’m happy to say I have found a product I’m more than happy with so I have updated the packages list and will soon be in receipt of my sample set of digital albums.
The new albums come in a range of sizes from A4 size right up to A3 size and have a range of accompanying smaller books that would be perfect as parents’ albums or as a special gift for your bridesmaids. The albums will be designed by myself to ensure a constant quality and style throughout.
If you’re wondering what the difference is between my normal albums and a digital album I will explain. My normal albums are what are called ‘matted albums’, these have actual photographic prints mounted underneath mats or overlays and this ‘sandwiching of mats and prints make up your album. These albums have a timeless elegance to them and have a more linear layout. The digital albums are printed directly onto large photographic paper which is mounted to the page which makes it possible to have images over 100% of the page surface. Because of the way a digital album is constructed it lends itself to a more open, stylized layout similar to a glossy magazine or book with the possibility to feature a variety of styles and design elements. My layouts will have an elegant design to them using the technology to create beautiful albums where the images do the talking. I will still be working closely with couples throughout the design process to ensure its not just an album, it’s your album.
